Over the past two weeks the children have been reading the story 'Tadpole's Promise'.

They began their learning by reading the first half of the story. They then predicted what might happen at the end of the story.
The children were then put into small groups and they then worked together to create a piece of drama around the beginning of the story.

The children concentrated on fronted adverbials and direct speech. This supported them when writing their alternative ending to the story ‘Tadpole’s Promise’.
The children came up with wonderful endings and the writing they produced was incredible.
